These works were made in consultation with Maurice Ortega who acted as mentor and technical advisor. Three meter long sheets of orthochromatic film were laid under shallow water and the film was exposed to light catching the surface ripples, stones, tadpoles and other objects as shadows. The films were then contacted onto silver gelatine paper or onto hand painted palladium emulsion prepared paper.
